Another very special day for Legend on the Bench ❤️
Today, September 10th, we had the honour of unveiling another of our Suicide Prevention Benches, this time in Finglas, Dublin 11.
This was a particularly special occasion for us because it is now our 5th bench reveal in Dublin and our 8th across Ireland. To see our benches continuing to make their way into communities across Ireland is something that means so much to everyone involved with Legend on the Bench.
As always, the unveiling was a beautiful and emotional occasion, with a considerable number of people coming together to show their support. And that is exactly what these benches are all about, bringing people together, creating a safe place to sit, pause, talk and, most importantly, listen.
A bench may seem like a simple thing, but what it represents is anything but simple. It represents hope, It represents compassion. It represents a reminder to anyone who may be struggling that they are not alone, that somebody cares and that there is always someone willing to sit beside them and listen.
Following the unveiling, we were incredibly grateful to have a reception hosted by Dublin City Council at Finglas Credit Union. It gave everyone the opportunity to come together, share conversations and talk openly about why suicide prevention is so important and how these benches can help make a difference in our communities.
A huge and heartfelt thank you to Dublin City Council for supporting this cause and for hosting such a wonderful reception, including the refreshments and, more importantly, creating the opportunity for people to come together and have those important conversations.

The support, commitment and fundraising you continue to give to Legend on the Bench is incredible. You are helping us put these benches into communities where they can make a real difference, and in doing so, you are helping us take our message of hope, support and suicide prevention even further.
Every bench has a story. Every bench carries a message. And every bench has the potential to change a life or save a life.
8 benches across Ireland and 5 in Dublin and we are only just getting started.
