Installing suicide prevention Benches throughout the UK.

100 Benches—One Legacy
Water Gardens, Harlow – February 26th In honour of Clive Worthington Where does one begin? Maybe at the start. I woke up on the morning of February 26th 2026 feeling excite and nervous at the same time. After all, we were installing our 100th Suicide Prevention Bench , a huge milestone. A moment filled with pride, and emotion. Off we drove to the Water Gardens in Harlow , where our 100th bench would stand, as a permanent reminder that hope is always within reach. Upon arrival

Legend on the Bench-Littlestone, New Romney
Our 6th and final reveal of the day, in memory of George Evans Our final leg of the journey brought us to Littlestone, New Romney and even before we stepped out of the car, we could feel it. As we pulled up to park, we saw them, a large crowd already gathered around the bench, waiting quietly. The light was beginning to fade, that gentle warning that darkness wasn’t far away. And yet, in that moment, the weather had softened, it was the best it had been all day. Standing ther

Legend on the Bench-Dover
Our 5th Bench Reveal in Memory of Dan Mac Underwood & David Did Williams Off to Dover we travelled for the fifth leg of our journey, a place that already holds deep meaning for us. It was here that we previously installed our Suicide Prevention Bench in memory of Ash. This time, we returned to honour Dan Mac Underwood and David Did Williams. There is something incredibly powerful about going back to a community that has already embraced our mission so wholeheartedly. Once ag

Legend on the Bench-Ramsgate
Herne Bay, Margate and Broadstairs completed and now on we go to Ramsgate 💛 As we arrived in Ramsgate, people were already gathering in the little shelter by the reveal point. It was such a powerful sight, seeing everyone coming together before we’d even fully arrived. We joined them in the shelter and took some time to talk about the charity, how far we’ve come, and where we’re at right now. Those conversations, even in the worst conditions, always remind me why we do this.

Legend on the Bench-Broadstairs
Broadstairs, our 3rd Bench of the day revealed. After Margate, we made the short journey along the coast to Broadstairs to reveal our third bench of the day. By this point the weather had shown absolutely no intention of easing. The wind was still howling, the rain relentless, the cold seeping into every layer. We were tired, soaked and windswept, but determined to keep moving on. Because once again, despite the brutal conditions, people came out to support this great cause.

Legend on the Bench-Margate
Margate, our 2nd bench of the day revealed. After the installation of our Bench in Herne Bay, we endured the 25 minute journey to Margate in what can only be described as treacherous conditions to reveal our second Bench of the day. By the time we reached the seafront, the weather had truly set in. The wind was blowing a gale, rain was smashing against our faces, and the cold cut straight through us. It would have been easy to retreat to the warmth of our cars, to postpone, t

Legend on the Bench-Herne Bay
Today 15th February 2026 we installed 6 Benches across Kent, taking our total installed to 99. On a day when most would have chosen to stay indoors, sheltering from the biting wind, relentless rain, and the kind of cold that seeps into your bones, something remarkable happened on the seafront of Herne Bay . It was the kind of weather that tests resolve. Grey skies stretched endlessly over the coast of Kent , rain lashed sideways across the promenade, and the wind showed no me

Harlow Bench Reveal 84 On a wet and windy morning in Harlow, Legend on the Bench installed and unveiled our 84th Suicide Prevention Bench. Despite the very poor weather conditions, people turned out in their numbers to support Ebony. This bench was placed in memory of a beautiful young lady named Ebony, who would have been 29 today. Ebony’s mum spoke so beautifully and proudly about her daughter, and at her request we all sang Happy Birthday to Ebony, a deeply moving moment.

Sunderland Bench Reveal No 80 Today wasn’t just the installation of our 80th Suicide Prevention Bench, it was a journey back through time. A return to the city where I was born, raised, shaped, and loved… Sunderland. Standing there as the bench was revealed, pride washed over me in a way that words barely do justice. Memories of the childhood I was blessed with in my hometown collided with the emotion of installing something so meaningful in the very place that built me. It w

Legend on the Bench—A Bench for Barks
Legend on the Bench are very proud to share that we have installed our 72nd and 73rd benches in Southend. The weather was kind to us, but the turnout was intentionally small, a semi-private occasion attended by a chosen few. As always, the unveilings were inspiring, the kind that send goosebumps through your whole body. On this occasion, Lee and Louis, Jay’s dad and brother, hosted the unveiling for the first time. It’s never an easy thing to do, but your courage, enthusiasm
