On Friday 27th September, we installed our 9th bench at the Tottenham Community Sports Centre in loving memory of Caroline Flack, who tragically took her own life in 2020. A beautiful but poignant day was shared by all who attended the reveal. While the bench is a suicide and prevention bench it also acts as an ‘In memory of’ bench.
The speeches by Kevin, Chrissy (Caroline’s Mum), and the Mayor of Harringay were perfect for the occasion and spoken with such passion thoughtfulness and kindness. Carolines Mum Chrissy spoke with such Love Kindness and Wisdom, it was incredible and she held herself together incredibly well despite what she must have been feeling.
The Bench was unveiled by Caroline’s family who showed such dignity and kindness rolled into one. The strongest people make time to help others even though they have their own problems.
The dream of Legend on the bench is to install benches in parks all around the UK. Every bench we install the dream gets closer, the closer we get to the dream it turns into our achievement. Let’s keep achieving and saving lives. 🙏
