Monday 28th September 2026, Hinchingbrooke Hospital
After an incredibly busy few days across Kent, Monday brought us to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for two very special Suicide Prevention Bench unveilings.
There was something particularly powerful about bringing our benches to a hospital. A hospital is a place where people come looking for help, hope and care, and these benches will now stand as a simple but important reminder that sometimes the most important thing we can do is stop, sit down, talk and listen.
We were honoured to be joined by Hannah Coffey, Chief Executive of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, along with members of her management team. Their support and commitment to what we are trying to achieve means so much to everyone at Legend on the Bench.
A very special thank you also goes to Zoe Clover(our local champion), Philip Fearn, Chris Todd and Chris Harris, who played such an important part in securing the funding to make these two benches possible. Without people willing to believe in the message and put the work in behind the scenes, none of this happens.
And of course, a huge thank you to Paul Carrington our own trustee, who attended and helped unveil one of the benches. It was wonderful to have you there and for you to share such an important moment for us.

Two more benches. Two more places where someone can sit and take a breath. Two more reminders that nobody should ever feel that they have to face their darkest moments alone.
Every bench we place carries the same message, talk, listen, care and never give up hope.
We don’t know who will sit on these benches in the years ahead. We don’t know what they may be going through or what brought them there. But if even one person sits down, finds the courage to speak, and someone takes the time to listen, then these benches will have done exactly what they were created to do.
To everyone at Hinchingbrooke Hospital who helped make this possible, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are helping save lives and bringing more awareness and understanding to Mental Health.💙
Special thanks must go to our own Local Champion Zoe Clover, you are a star, your effort and commitment in support of our charity and the cause is exceptional. You are making a massive difference to the awareness of mental health and suicide but also helping remove the stigma attached to both, thank you.💙🙏
The journey continues.
More benches. More conversations. More hope.
And together, one bench at a time, we will keep reminding people that there is always someone who cares. 💙🙏
Where there is hope, there is a way.🙏
