We’ve Passed the Half Century Mark — 51 Benches and Counting
We are incredibly proud to announce the installation and unveiling of our 51st Suicide Prevention Bench, marking a significant milestone in our mission. This moment took place on 08/09/2025 at Brighton Hill Community School in Basingstoke, and it was nothing short of powerful.
Passing the 50-bench mark is a monumental achievement but as always, there is no resting, no slowing down. Our mission continues with unshakable determination: to install Suicide Prevention Benches across the UK, raising awareness, offering support, and ultimately, saving lives.
Every installation brings a mix of pride, emotion, and resolve. Today was no different, goosebumps and shivers remind us of the enormity of what we are achieving. Life is the greatest gift, and helping save even one life is a high we all share in.
An Unforgettable Day of Speeches and Strength

Mr. Edwards opened with words that resonated deeply, delivered with the care and sensitivity such a topic demands. His support and compassion set the tone for the event.
Chris then spoke from the heart, sharing his personal journey of how he became involved with this Bench and our charity. His words reflected his passion and the vital role we play in Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.
Evie’s story is the heart of this bench. After the tragic loss of her father to suicide, Evie shared her experience at a school assembly, a moment that moved many and led to this bench being approved in her father’s memory. Her speech at the unveiling was nothing short of extraordinary. She spoke with strength, grace, and sincerity, honouring her father while giving voice to countless others affected by suicide. Her courage inspires us all.
