A Wonderful day in Kent Unveiling 5 of our Suicide Prevention Benches, the second of the day in Faversham.
On a beautiful sunny day in Faversham, Kent, Legend on the Bench proudly unveiled our 2nd Suicide Prevention Bench of the day, another powerful step forward in raising awareness, encouraging conversation, and reminding people that they are never alone.
We were truly honoured to have the Mayor, Cllr, Claire Martin in attendance, who delivered a wonderful and heartfelt speech that reflected the importance of community, compassion, and mental health awareness. Also joining us was Cllr Hannah Perkins, whose support and presence meant a great deal to everyone involved.

The unveiling itself was, as always, emotional, heart touching, and beautiful. These moments are never just about a bench, they are about remembrance, hope, support, and creating safe spaces where conversations around mental health and suicide prevention can happen openly and without judgement.
The turnout was fantastic, and it was incredibly moving to see so many people come together in unity and support. To everyone who attended, shared kind words, took part, and stood alongside us today, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your presence truly makes a difference.

We would also like to give our sincere thanks to Stephen Gale, Greenspace Officer of both Sittingbourne and Faversham, who attended both bench unveilings throughout the day. Your effort, commitment, and continued support behind the scenes have been truly appreciated, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you have done to help make these unveilings possible. Thank you, Stephen.
A very special thank you goes to Ray form East Kent Spurs, and Maria Howdon of East Kent Spurs, who spoke so passionately and sincerely about the charity and the incredible fundraising efforts they have achieved. Raising an outstanding £28,000 is nothing short of amazing, and we are beyond grateful for the unwavering support, kindness, and dedication shown by Maria and everyone at East Kent Spurs. Your commitment is helping us continue this important work and reach more people who may be struggling in silence.
Thank you once again to the Councillors for your continued support, and to Maria Howdon, Ray and East Kent Spurs for standing beside Legend on the Bench and believing in our mission every step of the way.
