Folkestone
Today, Legend on the Bench had the privilege of unveiling another Suicide Prevention Bench in Folkestone, Kent, our final and fourth Unveiling of a glorious day. As always the moment was filled with emotion, reflection, and community spirit, bringing feelings of warmth to your insides.
Each bench we place carries a powerful message. It is a reminder that mental health matters, that conversations save lives, and that nobody should ever feel alone in their darkest moments. These unveilings are never just ceremonies, they are opportunities to bring people together, raise awareness, and create lasting places of comfort, hope, and support within our communities.
Throughout the day we were incredibly grateful to see so many people attend and stand beside us in support of suicide prevention and mental health awareness. The atmosphere throughout was respectful, heartfelt, and deeply moving, showing just how important these conversations are becoming. Folkestone was no different.
The Unveiling was attended by Cllr Paul Thomas and his lovely wife, Paul is chair of Folkestone and Hythe Council. A sincere thank you to Paul and his wife, and to all the local Councillors and supporters who attended every unveiling throughout the day and continue to support the work of Legend on the Bench. Your encouragement and commitment to helping us spread awareness truly mean a great deal.

We would also like to thank Katy, one of our Local Champions who came along with her son in support of our charity, we are extremely grateful for everything you continue to do.
A massive thank you to Maria, Ray, and the entire East Kent Spurs family for standing beside Legend on the Bench and continuing to support our vision with such dedication and heart. The phenomenal £28,000 raised through your hard work and fundraising efforts will go a long way in helping us place more benches, raise vital awareness, and continue reaching people who may feel lost, isolated, or unheard. Your support is helping us turn compassion into action, and we are truly grateful

Four Bench Unveilings in one incredible day, from Sittingbourne, to Faversham, on to Sandwich, and finally Folkestone. What an emotional and powerful journey it has been.

We are truly overwhelmed by the support, kindness, and encouragement shown to Legend on the Bench throughout the day. Seeing so many communities come together to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention means more than words can ever express.
To everyone who attended, supported, spoke, helped organise, or simply stood beside us along the way, thank you. Every conversation, every act of kindness, and every show of support helps us continue this important mission.
You are all amazing, and we are so proud to have shared these special moments with you all.
