A Mother’s Love

Wow. Seeing Harley on Tuesday night at the Spurs Stadium was incredible. Knowing that his dream of meeting his hero, James Maddison, was about to come true was simply amazing.

Watching the joy and love this boy carries in his heart was so touching. Watching a family do everything in their power to create forever memories for Harley was truly beautiful. Witnessing a Mothers fight for her son’s life, like it’s the last fight she will ever face was incredible.

They say a mother’s love is the greatest love of all. Tonight, I believe that with all my heart. The love she has for her son is beyond words, it is powerful, it is relentless, it is forever.

Having been informed that almost £130,000 has already been raised is incredible, simply amazing. But sadly the operation to save Harley’s life costs £2.5 million. Yes £2.5 million, obscene I know, questions should be asked WHY? Surely saving a little boys life or anyone’s life should be the reward, not the pound note.

I know that number feels overwhelming, maybe even impossible. But I’ve seen what happens when people unite. I’ve seen ordinary people rise and do extraordinary things. And time and again, when it matters most, it’s the ordinary people who step forward to support.

Why?

Because in the end, we are the ones who hold the world together.

We are the salt of the earth.

Harley can live, there is no greater reward than knowing we helped make that happen. At best we save a little boys life, and reward a Mothers Love. At the very least, we know we tried with everything we had.
