Dover Unveils 61st Prevention Bench in Memory of Ash
Today, in the heart of Dover, Legend on the Bench proudly unveiled their 61st Prevention Bench, a heartfelt tribute in memory of Ash. Surrounded by stunning scenery and an incredible turnout, the event was a powerful reminder of how deeply loved and missed Ash is.
The unveiling was led by Louise, Katie, Laura, Ash’s devoted Mother and his young son Jax. As always, the moment the bench was revealed was deeply emotional, an unforgettable sight that sent shivers down the spine of many in attendance.
A particularly touching moment came when someone gently said to Jax, “You’ll be playing on this football pitch one day, and your dad will be sitting right here watching you.” It was a moment filled with love, loss, and lasting connection.
The speeches that followed were heartfelt and poignant:
Laura, Ash’s sister, bravely spoke through tears, sharing words that were both eloquent and deeply touching, an emotional tribute that truly captured Ash’s spirit.
Louise, who played a key role in fundraising, most notably completing a 26-mile marathon, spoke with warmth and strength, she actually looked like she could do the 26 miles again. Her words filled the crowd with a sense of unity and hope.
At the heart of it all was Katie, Louise’s daughter and the driving force behind this tribute. Her compassion, determination, and selfless dedication brought this vision to life. Her efforts were nothing short of extraordinary.
The crowd, large and full of love, came together not just to remember Ash, but to stand as a community committed to breaking the silence and stigma around Mental Health, while supporting one another.

A special thank you goes to Laura and Louise for their powerful words. Ash would have been incredibly proud of you both, and you both should be incredibly proud of yourselves, it takes real courage to stand up and speak in such circumstances.
And to Katie, thank you for giving your heart and soul to make this happen, you’re a very special Lady full of love care and kindness.
Finally, to Ash’s wonderful mum, your courage, strength, and pride shone through every moment. Standing tall with grace, you reminded us all that even in the face of profound loss, love remains forever. 💙🙏
At the end of the darkest hour comes the light of day. Someone is always listening. 💙🙏
It Takes courage to stand up and talk
It also takes courage to sit down and listen. 💙🙏
