A Momentous Few Days of installations and Unveilings

What an incredible couple of days it has been! On October 23rd, we began our journey to Lincoln, where we unveiled our 62nd Bench in a truly beautiful setting. Despite the rain and overcast weather, we were met with a fantastic turnout, including the Legendary Biff Bean and Rob Bradley, plus local councillors who showed their support for this vital cause.

From there, we headed to Hull to reveal our 63rd Bench where we met up with the Mysterious Minds Charity. Once again, the weather did not deter the large crowd, which included Hull City legend, Dean Windass and boxing Olympic Gold Medalist Luke Campbell and also the wonderful Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull and Admiral of the Humber. It was inspiring to see so many people come together, even in the face of such challenging conditions.

To end a long, yet unforgettable day, we travelled to Scunthorpe for a fundraising evening in support of Legend on the Bench. We were honored to be joined by the footballing genius Glenn Hoddle, who is a huge advocate for our charity. The evening raised a significant amount of money to help fund our Suicide Prevention Benches, marking another important milestone in our mission.

On Friday, October 24th, we continued our journey with a visit to Kettering, where we unveiled our 64th Bench in a lovely setting. The unveiling was attended by many, including Mervin Hemmington ( Attended all 3 Reveals on the 24th ) the Mayor and a local councillor, reinforcing the growing support for this initiative.

Next, we headed to Northampton for our 65th Bench unveiling. Once again, we were surrounded by people passionate about mental health awareness and Suicide Prevention, as well as local leaders the Mayor and local councillor, who helped make this event possible. The location was a beautiful, accessible walking path, which will now serve as a place of reflection and support for many.

Finally, we concluded the day in Irthlingborough, where we revealed our 66th Bench in a picturesque park, alive with activity and energy. The local Mayor and numerous supporters were present, showing once more the strength of community backing this cause.

It has been an amazing, albeit exhausting, few days. The momentum is truly building, and our message is spreading faster than ever. Together, we are making a tangible difference, and every step forward is a step toward even greater achievements.

A huge thank you to everyone for their unwavering support, effort, and commitment. Let’s keep pushing ahead and continue working together for an even brighter future for everyone not just the few.. 💙🙏

Ps: We’ll share the individual write-ups and pictures at the start of next week as we still have a few fundraising events to attend. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
