89 and Counting, No Resting.

Today, 28th January 2026 we travelled to Raunds in Wellingborough to install our 89th Suicide Prevention Bench, a milestone we are incredibly proud of. Despite the time of year, we were treated to a beautiful sunny day, which lifted everyone’s spirits and made the occasion even more special.

The unveiling was, as always, deeply touching and poignant, bringing goosebumps and quiet moments of reflection for many of us there. It was an honour to see the bench unveiled by Mayor Richard Levell, alongside members of Raunds Town Council, Reet, a lovely Lady from Legend on the Bench Charity, Sherry, from Kelly’s Heroes, a wonderful local charity, and also Deven Elwood and John Dean, both representatives from C2E Construction, who generously funded the bench.

Moments like these remind us why this work matters so much. Seeing people come together to support mental health, start conversations, and stand united in compassion never fails to move us. We are truly grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this milestone installation so meaningful.

On behalf of Legend on the Bench, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the installation of the Suicide Prevention Bench at Ada Salter Spinney possible.

First and foremost, thank you to the Mayor of Raunds, Cllr Richard Levell, and to Nicola Joy and other members of Raunds Town Council for your support, openness, and commitment to mental health and wellbeing within the community. Your willingness to champion this project sends a powerful message that no one in Raunds has to face their struggles alone.💙

We are incredibly grateful to C2E Construction for their generosity in fully funding this bench and for recognising the importance of visible, accessible mental health support. Your commitment to addressing mental wellbeing, particularly within the construction industry is both admirable and vital, and we are proud to have worked alongside you on this project.💙

Thank you also to Kelly’s Heroes for standing with us and continuing to raise awareness around suicide prevention and mental health support locally. The work you do makes a real difference, and it was an honour to have you involved.💙

A very special thank you must go to Nicola Joy of Raunds Town Council, whose influence from start to finish played a key role in the successful coordination of this installation and reveal. Thank you so much, Nicola, your’e truly one of our heroes.💙

Each Legend on the Bench carries the message “Someone is Always Listening”. This bench is now a permanent reminder that help is close by, that support is available, and that no one ever has to sit alone in their darkest moments.

We are proud to see this bench become part of the Raunds community, and we are truly thankful to everyone who helped make it happen.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
