Legend on the Bench are so flattered and honoured everytime we receive a donation, no matter how big or small it all goes to helping fund the Suicide Prevention Benches. Legend on the Bench are very proud that not one of our volunteers, our Ambassadors, our trustees, our associate members or our fundraisers get paid and nor do they claim expenses enabling every penny we raise to be put into buying the benches and paying for their installations.
Fundraising is vital to any cause and can happen in various forms, for instance at the recent Spurs v Arsenal game ( sadly Arsenal won ) as I walked through one of the lounges a guy called George Rowe called me over and asked me to inform his guests about my charity of which I did. After I had finished speaking incredibly 2 people donated £1000 each, enough to buy another Bench, one was George’s beautiful and lovely wife Timnit Rowe and the other was Neil & Lorna McCallum, they completely took my breath away, Thank you to both of them for their generosity. So you see it can happen anywhere anytime and is very much appreciated.
We are all saving lives and making a difference so let’s be the difference we want to see 🙏💙
