Bench Reveals

SOBS & LOTB Unveil the 150th Suicide Prevention Bench in Retford, Nottinghamshire.

Legend on the Bench Charity in Conjunction with Sobs Charity.

Today was a truly special moment for all of us at Legend on the Bench Charity & Sobs Charity as we proudly revealed another Suicide Prevention Bench, number 150, dedicated to supporting people at the very moment they need that support.

Our Partnership with SOBS is incredible, celebrating their 35th year since they were founded, we aim to install 35 Benches across the UK & Ireland as recognition of this amazing achievement and also to save lives.

Each bench installed is far more than just a place to sit, it’s a space for reflection, remembrance, and hope. Sometimes hope waits on a bench and waits for someone to come and sit beside it.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this bench possible, from those who contributed and supported the initiative, to those who were present on the day to support the cause. Your support allows us to continue creating meaningful spaces that honour lives, stories, legacies, and also save lives.

At Legend on the Bench Charity, every reveal is a reminder that even the simplest things, like a bench, can help and support someone at the moment support is needed.

Big Thank you to the Battislaw Group who helped raise the money that enabled this bench to happen, but also for a second Bench too. Your support, work and commitment is very much appreciated and you are helping save lives.

A very special thank you also to Gemma, Vicky & SOBS, Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide. The work you do supporting people who have been left behind after losing someone to suicide is incredibly important. Bereavement through suicide brings a pain that is almost impossible to put into words, and having somewhere people can turn too for understanding, compassion and support can make such a difference when they need it most. 💙

Please keep doing the amazing work you do. It is so important, so needed, and means more than you probably realise. 💙🙏

If you would like to get involved, support both our charities work, or learn more about how to dedicate a bench or support someone suffering from loss, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Together, we are making a difference, together we are making a change.🙏🙏🙏
