Bench Reveals

Tunbridge Wells, Kent Bench Reveal in Memory of Frazer Allan

May 22nd 2026 LOTB Unveiled a Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Bench in Loving Memory of Frazer Allan.

Despite their devastating loss, Frazer’s family have put all their love and effort into getting this Bench installed, in the hope they can help others. Special People support others despite living with their own problems.

The family of a much-loved son, brother and friend who sadly lost his life to mental health on May 11, 2023, in Tunbridge Wells, have created a meaningful tribute in his memory. Frazer Allan’s family said not a day goes by where he isn’t thought of or deeply missed, but through working with the charity Legend on the Bench, they’ve found both comfort and a way to honour his legacy.

At 1pm on Friday 22 May 2026, a beautiful memorial bench was installed in Calverley Grounds near the tennis courts in the much-loved park. The bench features heartfelt engraved messages encouraging people to open up about how they’re feeling, reminding them that “Someone is Always Listening” and that they are “not Alone

It is the first bench of its kind in Tunbridge Wells, making it “super special” for Frazer’s family and friends. The bench features built in lighting, allowing it to remain visible and accessible both day and night. The bench also displays a QR code linking directly to 24/7 crisis support services, providing access to telephone numbers with real people ready to listen. “A beacon of hope, even in the darkest hours,” said the family.

The family raised the £2,000 needed for the project through fundraising efforts including Frazer’s sister Paige, her partner Nathan, and Frazer’s close friend Alex Gemi, known as “Moonie”, taking part in the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon earlier this year. The family said: “Frazer was deeply loved by his family and friends. He was funny, caring, loyal, and the kind of person who made everyone feel comfortable just by being around him. You could always hear him before you saw him, he meant everything to his family.”

Reflecting on Paige, Nathan and Moonie completing the marathon, the family said the outpouring of support from so many people had “meant a great deal to us” and described the experience as “both emotional and uplifting”.

There was an outpouring of grief at the loss of the massively popular 30-year-old, as almost 300 people attended his funeral at St Marks Church in Broadwater Down in Tunbridge Wells, including Frazer’s parents Teresa and Carl, his twin sisters Shannon and Paige, step sister Sharn, and his Uncle Damian.

Since losing Frazer, his family said focusing on something positive had helped them navigate their grief. Through fundraising, raising awareness and encouraging open conversations around mental health, they found a renewed sense of purpose during an incredibly difficult time. “Doing something in Frazer’s memory helps keep his spirit alive and continues to highlight the importance of mental health support,” they said.

Legend on the Bench is a charity aspiring to place informative benches in every local park in the UK and Ireland, giving 24/7 access to crisis support. It was founded by Michelle Hazard and her brother, former professional footballer Micky Hazard. “In Frazer’s memory, we hope this bench helps people feel less alone, and continues to raise awareness for mental health across the community,” said the family.

The family thanked all the friends, family members, and local businesses whose donations made the project possible, including CVUK Team, Kalon Dental, Nutleys, and P.S Hair Co. 💙

They also gave a special thank you to Jason Bradshaw, a close friend of Frazer’s mum, who worked closely with Legends on the Bench and helped make the bench installation happen. Thank You Jason 💙🙏

The World is a better place, when good people continue supporting others who need help, even while facing struggles of their own.
