Meet the team

Ossie is a former professional footballer who played for Tottenham Hotspur. While playing for Spurs he won multiple trophies namely a UEFA Cup and 2 FA Cups. He was also an Argentinian International and achieved Worldwide status when he helped his country win the 1978 World Cup. He currently acts as an Ambassador for THFC, and he is much loved wherever he goes. Legend-on-the-Bench are very proud to have Ossie as one of our Ambassadors.

Former player of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Swindon. Won 2 FA Cups and a UEFA Cup while playing for Spurs and was also selected for the full England squad. Also won a Simod Cup and a Zenith data systems cup while playing for Chelsea and won promotion to the premier league while playing for Swindon, the first time in their history they had played in the top division. Currently working for THFC in an ambassadorial role on match days. On top of working for Spurs he also Runs his own Legend nights and his own memorabilia online store.

Founder of the Charity Legend-on-the-Bench. Micky's sister, who lost her son Jay to suicide in 2019 drew inspiration to create and install wooden benches in public parks around the UK. Michelle with cooperation from local Councils, set off with the aim to prevent or minimise the number of families who become affected by the loss of a loved one taking their own life. They say in adversity we find out who we are and what we stand for, Michelle has certainly found out who she is and what she stands for, and for certain it is all good.

As a parent and foster parent, providing supported living, Adam lost his first foster child to suicide, who had become an integral member of the family, this deeply affected the whole family. As a fundraiser, he and his wife have raised over £20,000 for various charities over the past 7 years, and they are inspired to raise awareness of mental health and to make people realise that there is support available.

No1 THFC Programmes have been a huge contributor to the charity already, with Paul raising funds by the "Re-homing of Tottenham match day programmes" many of which are signed by Ex Spurs Legends. You can usually find Paul with his programme stall at a Legends event hosted by Micky or one of the other Tottenham greats. Paul has amassed in excess of 14,000 programmes in stock going back to the 1960's.

Welcome to Steve as one of our trustees. Steve is a qualified driving instructor who is an incredibly hard worker and as honest as you could wish to meet. We are in safe hands with Steve who fits totally with the image we want for our team, honest kind approachable and hardworking, he will be a big asset for Legend-on-the-Bench.

Bryan is responsible for Bench approvals from within the Sporting World. From Football to Cricket to Tennis etc, Bryan is attempting to put our Benches outside of every Sporting Venue. We are very excited in anticipation of our benches getting out there into the sporting community. Welcome aboard Bryan.

Chris is an expert in this field and has a massive role to play in raising funds to enable us to get our suicide prevention and mental health benches out there Into the public domain. Chris understands fully the importance of mental health and getting the message out there to more and more people. Chris has already contributed massively to the funding of some of our benches and I’ve no doubt he will be a major success in this role. Welcome aboard Chris.

Welcome Kerry to the Legends on the Bench team, Kerry will be responsible for Council approvals, Bench Locations and keeping everyone up to date with where we are at with all our applications etc.

Laura is responsible for applications for the gift aid side of our charity and is our photographer at our events as and when she is available. Laura is also our expert on data analysis delivering real time data performance insights.

Branson Leisure are responsible for supplying our Benches. They do a remarkable job of making the benches informative and a real thing of beauty. Thank you Kris, we very much appreciate the time and effort you put in to make our benches look spectacular.

Timeless Tributes are responsible for supplying our in memory QR codes on the benches. The codes show a series of pictures, videos and music in memory of whoever the bench is in memory of, they are totally beautiful. Timeless Tributes supply these at no cost to Legend-on-the-Bench. Thank you John Neale, your kindness overwhelms us.

A valuable contributor to the Legend-on-the-Bench Charity, as well as being a founder of the VeteransInNeed.org website, providing support and resources to the men and women who dedicated their lives to the Country. You will often see Mike in his wheelchair at events either listening to the Legends or raising funds by completing 10km treks, come rain or shine.

Chairman of Peterborough Spurs, season ticket holder at Tottenham and organiser of legend nights events in Peterborough. Kev has raised money for the charity for a number of years while battling his own health issues but always puts others before himself.

Welcome to Paul Newman as one of our associate members. Paul helps keep us supplied with anything we need printing and is totally committed to our cause. Top top man who travels from afar to attend our events.

Welcome to Legends on the Bench Mags Malloy. Mags is such an incredible fund raiser for Legend-on-the-Bench, we are delighted to have her on our team. A very lovely Lady.

Welcome to Legend-on-the-Bench Associate Paul. Paul is an amazing fundraiser for Legend-on-the-Bench through his incredible ability and enthusiasm. We are very lucky to have this man as part of our charity.

Mervin is one of our fundraisers and is currently organising a 25 mile walk to raise the funds to install a bench in his home town of Northampton. Spurs loving family man who loves a laugh and is a regular visitor to White Hart Lane. Welcome Merv to Legend-on-the-Bench charity.

Kevin is secretary of the trustees at Tottenham Community Sports Centre and is another of our fundraisers doing a great job. He has raised enough funds for a bench to be laid in the Tottenham Sports Centre in memory of Caroline Flack. A lovely man who does so much for the local community and charity. Welcome aboard Kevin.
