Legend on the Bench installed our 18th Suicide Prevention Bench yesterday in Guildford. It truly was a beautiful and poignant day as we unveiled the Bench in memory of Samuel who took his own life aged just 20. Samuel’s mum Claire gave such a lovely speech and showed such courage and strength as she spoke about her son. The Bench was unveiled by our very own David Howells and his lovely son Hudson who along with David spoke beautifully about Samuel and our Benches (David’s daughter Grace went to school with Samuel).

Legend on the Bench would like to thank everyone who came along to this beautiful setting to support our cause and pay tribute to Samuel. The Bench sits so beautifully in this setting, a setting where Samuel and his friends would go and sit for hours on end chatting and having fun. The Bench is a Suicide Prevention Bench but it will also act as a source of comfort to Claire and her family as they sit and reminisce while reliving special moments in pictures and videos shared together with Samuel after clicking on the QR code attached to the Bench.
Massive thank you to David and Hudson for giving up their time to come and unveil our Bench and thank you both for your enthusiasm and support for our charity, thanks to your kindness we are removing the stigma attached to mental health and saving lives.💙
Thank you Claire for your commitment and dedication to ensuring that our Bench would be installed in this beautiful place, but also for entrusting Legend on the Bench to pay tribute to your son Samuel by helping save the lives of many others. 💙
