Today, 21st August 2025, was a momentous and deeply emotional day as we unveiled our 43rd and 44th Suicide Prevention Benches in Luton

The first bench was especially moving, dedicated to the memory of a beautiful family of three: a loving mother and her two children. A heartbreaking loss that touched everyone present. The tributes in their honour were deeply touching and a powerful reminder of the need for more understanding and awareness about mental health and the devastation it can cause.

The speeches delivered throughout the day by the various people that spoke were heartfelt, poignant, and spoken from the soul. Each word carried the weight of love, pain, and hope, resonating deeply with all in attendance.
The bench reveal took place following the heartfelt speeches, marking an incredibly poignant and emotional moment. The unveiling was carried out by the children’s father and other family members, a deeply moving tribute that touched everyone present. It was a moment of quiet reflection, remembrance, and love, honouring the lives lost and reinforcing why our mission is so important.
Thank you so much to the children’s father, who showed remarkable courage, far beyond what was expected of him as he stood before us and spoke. His words were deeply emotional, yet he found the strength to finish, despite the immense pain he was feeling. We are truly sorry for your loss, and we share in your grief.
A huge thank you to Bhav for attending today and also to Bedfordshire Crimebeat. (the High Sheriff of Bedfordshires Charity) Bhav not only did you deliver incredibly powerful and heartfelt words, spoken with such sincerity and conviction, you also brought with you a Cheque for 2000 POUNDS very kindly donated to our Charity by Bedfordshire Crimebeat, thats enough to fund another Bench. From all of us: Thank you for everything you do, and all that you give. 💙💙💙

A sincere thank you to the Groundsman whose support made today possible. By granting us permission to install the benches in these parks, you’ve played a vital role in helping create safe, reflective spaces for those who need them most. Your quiet act of kindness is helping to save lives, and for that, we are forever grateful. Thank you for being part of this journey. 💙
