44th Bench Reveal in Memory of Fatima Islam

Following our 43rd Bench Reveal in Luton, we were honoured to unveil our 44th bench in a beautiful park in another part of the town. It was a truly special occasion, spent in the company of wonderful people, all gathered to remember and celebrate the life of Fatima Islam, a

truly remarkable lady, deeply loved by her community.

Once again, Tahmina was at the heart of everything that took place on the day. Her dedication, warmth, and tireless efforts continue to shine, and there’s no doubt she will be as loved and respected by the community as Fatima was.

The speeches were incredibly moving. Tahmina led with heartfelt words, followed by the Groundsman, who spoke once again with sincerity and care. The wonderful Doctor then shared wise and beautiful words, before Fatima’s son gave a touching tribute to his mother — a speech filled with pride, love, and deep affection. It was a moment that truly brought the community together in honour of Fatima’s life, while also continuing our mission to support Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention.

A huge thank you to Tahmina for everything she does for our charity. She is a remarkable woman with a heart of gold. With her passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment, we have no doubt she will achieve her dream of placing benches in every park in Luton.

Thank you to the Groundsman for once again granting us permission to install our Bench, you are helping save lives.

We are progressing at a phenomenal rate, and while we take a moment to acknowledge this milestone, we know there is no time to rest, life is far too important. The awareness and support for our cause continue to grow every day. Mental health and suicide touch countless lives, and bringing awareness to the devastating impact they can have is absolutely vital. Together, through compassion, conversation, and community, we are making a difference, one bench at a time.
