Nine Benches, Three Days, One Very Important Mission π
After installing and unveiling two Benches in Borehamwood and St James Sq Central London on Thursday, our next three days Saturday, Sunday and Monday are very busy.
The next three days are going to be some of the busiest we have had at Legend on the Bench, but they are also going to be incredibly special.
On Saturday, we will be in Kent and Northamptonshire installing three Suicide Prevention Benches, one in Hoo and one in Medway in Kent and also one in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
Then Sunday comes, and there will be four more benches waiting to take their place in their communities. Sheerness, Maidstone, Canterbury and Whitstable.
And then, after two very long days on the road, we head to Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon on Monday, where we will install another two benches.
Thatβs Nine benches in three days.
When you look at the numbers, it sounds like a lot of travelling, early mornings, long days and plenty of tiredness, and believe me, it is!
So yes, the next three days will be exhausting. There will be miles on the road, early starts, late finishes and probably a few aching bones by Monday night!
But when we stand beside those Nine benches and know that they are there for someone who may need them, none of that matters. Because if just one person sits on one of those benches and decides to talk instead of suffering in silence, every mile will have been worth it.
And if one life is saved, we would do every mile all over again.
Nine benches. Three days. Hundreds of miles. But one mission that matters more than anything.
To give hope where it is needed most, and to remind people that even in their darkest moment, they are never truly alone. ππ
