Somethings are just meant to happen, they are fated to happen so there is no way to avoid it happening. At the Regents Park Bench Reveal, Rob (funder along with Richard of one of the Benches being revealed) received a phone call from another friend, after Rob told his friend where he was and what he was doing his friend instantly said I have to be there and caught a taxi to Regents Park to be with us.
After arriving at the Park he sought out my sister Michelle and explained his reasons for being there and the urge he had to attend. He introduced himself as Jay Levy ( My sisters son who took his own life was called Jay) and the chemistry between them both was incredible, they hugged each other and shed a tear together like they were long lost friends, it truly was an unbelievably poignant moment. It’s safe to say that Jays presence turned what was already a very special day into a truly unforgettable one.

Following the reveal we received an email off Jay offering to help our charity in anyway he could and he spoke so kindly about what we are doing and achieving, in truth he blew us all away with his kindness and sincerity. The following day we received a donation to pay in full for another Bench into the charity’s bank account with a pledge to support us moving forward down the line.
Legend on the Bench would like to thank you Jay and your family, not just for your generosity but also for your heart and the hope you bring to our charity’s mission of saving lives.
