On a very wet damp rainy windy day Legend on the Bench braved the weather conditions and installed 3 more Suicide Prevention Benches. Thank you to all the attendees who braved such atrocious conditions to witness the unveiling of our Benches. It’s always a very special occasion the unveiling of our Bench, the pride one feels knowing we are saving lives is incredible. Below is the unveiling of the Bench in Wellingborough.
Following on from Wellingborough we drove to Abington Park in Northampton where we installed our 2nd Bench of the day. Someone was smiling on us as the atrocious weather conditions subsided for a few minutes while we unveiled our life saving Bench, another very special occasion and feeling.
Following on from Abington Park we drove straight to Walgrave to install our 3rd Bench of the day in a beautiful setting under a memorial tree. If you zoom in and look very closely you will see little memory tags on the tree, it made the unveiling even more special. Once again someone was smiling on us as there was a brief interlude in the weather conditions and giving us just enough time to unveil our life saving Bench.
Special thanks goes out to, the council of Wellingborough and in particular the deputy clerk of Wellingborough Joanne Coduri who played a very important part in arranging the approval, the funding and all the arrangements. Also the Mayor and council members who attended were there in full attendance. Thank you all for everything you have done to help save lives.
Further special thanks are sent to Mervin Hemmington and his team for their incredible efforts in raising enough funds (doing a 1 million steps walk) to fund 2 Benches, also big thank you’s to Craig Evans and Walgrove Parish Council for the parts they played in getting this installation done. These people are very special people who gave up their free time to help us save lives. Thank you all for your commitment and kindness and rest assured you are playing a big part in saving lives.
